  • That’s a Wrap

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend, I ended up working the whole time, which left me finishing this post really late last night! However, I love this outfit so I really wanted to share it with you! This wrap skirt was actually my mom’s and since she gave it to me, it has become a great summer wardrobe piece and staple in my closet. I get so many compliments on every time I wear it! It’s soft, a gorgeous print, and moves so beautifully! I love wearing the wrap right at my waist so that I can wear a crop top without showing too much skin.

  • Blush and Neutrals for the Work Week

There are few things I dread more than waking up early in the morning and having a list of things to accomplish before work. It’s like I’m setting myself up for failure before I start. So to add choosing an outfit to the mix, is really unfair. That is why, I love neutrals. For the work week, neutrals make it so easy to roll out of bed, and put together a cohesive and polished look simply and quickly. In the summer I choose from a lighter palette of blush and neutrals, but a lot of the pieces cross over. Side note: Am I the only one wearing winter sweaters in the office? The A/C is frigid! Anyway, I love these blush cropped jeans, I have basically adopted blush as a neutral into my wardrobe. It’s a nice change from beige and white!

  • Back to Back

I love a cool back on a top. Even better, I love tops that barely even have a back to them! This is a look I have loved since it flooded Pinterest a few years ago. I even told Nataly that I wanted my photos to look like things I had pinned! This whole outfit is composed of pieces that I have had for a while but I love it. It’s a great casual, hanging out on a patio or going to the pool look.

  • Styling Black and White

As all of the Fall clothes come out, my style gets less and less colorful. My usual go-tos are gray, black and white, and even though it’s not Fall yet, seeing those clothes and colors on the racks at the stores makes me so ready for it! So, I start putting outfits together with less and less color and fall back into a more neutral colored wardrobe.

  • NSale Fall Trends

Are you tired of hearing about the NSale yet? Well, I’m always up for a good deal, and a good deal on good clothes like the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale I just can’t resist! I love that they do this sale backwards, everything goes on sale first and then the price goes up later. (If you haven’t shopped yet, read my NSale Survival Guide for the best way to do it!) Speaking of, we’ve only got 3 more days left to shop before that happens! So many of the pieces I picked out (like this top) sold out before the public access even began, but I’m still really excited about it and wanted to post this because I can wear it now! It’s a great transitional piece, and I loved it so much I got it in two colors!

  • Reasons to Wear Long Sleeves in the Summer

My boyfriend would tell me I’m nuts for wearing long sleeves in the Texas heat, but when it is upwards of 100 degrees, it doesn’t make much of a difference what you are wearing as long as it breathes. This top is linen and it is super light, and in the off-chance that there is a breeze, it’s loose and breathable. I don’t wear just any long sleeve top in the summer heat, but linen, or a light, loose cotton, definitely. Growing up in Ohio, we barely put away our sweaters and coats to switch over our wardrobes for spring and summer. I remember going home from college one year in June and it was still in the 60s! So, as much as I wanted to wear cute tanks and shorts, I was frozen, so I always had a sweatshirt or button up nearby.

  • Midi Skirts and Dresses for the Office

Happy Monday! I’ve decided to embrace Mondays, because they come along no matter what, why not make the best of them? I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! My boyfriend and I had a lazy Saturday complete with Margaritas (did you see them on Snapchat? Follow me –> kasey_lynn18), a cookout, and a movie date! No for Monday I’m back to work and I have to talk about something. It’s Summer, it’s 100+ degrees in Dallas, and I struggle between looking nice, season appropriate, and staying warm in the office. Enter midi skirts and dresses.

  • Vacation Essentials with Macy’s Backstage

It’s about that time of year when I normally would be packing for our family vacation. Since graduation college, all of our schedules have been different and we actually took a trip to Disney in December, rather than our traditional Summer getaway. I LOVED  that trip. but guys, it’s been too long! I am so ready for a trip, and even though I’m not going anywhere until October (Hellooooo ACL!) I thought I could live vicariously through you all on your trips. So, I went to Macy’s new outlet store, Macy’s Backstage, to see the new store, and walked out wishing I had a trip planned!

  • Perfect Your Going-Out Look

Admittedly, I don’t go out too often. However, somehow, I have more going-out clothes than I know what to do with! A lot of them now are a bit older now (don’t worry I linked up-to-date similar pieces). I guess because I couldn’t let go of my college days, I ended up buying some when I graduated and haven’t worn them too much. Now, I usually prefer grabbing happy hour drinks and being in bed before 11. Boring? Maybe. Hangover? None!

  • Archer London: Lazy Weekend Dress

I am SO not ready for the week! This weekend we went out on a party barge to celebrate a friend’s birthday on Saturday and recuperated all day Sunday (think long naps with ice cream in between). This dress from Archer London was my Sunday outfit, it was so comfortable and soft I napped in it all afternoon! Probably not the best use of a cute outfit, but honestly that was all I wanted to do all day! The sun really takes it out of you!
