One of my biggest struggles during the holidays is figuring out what to get the men in my life for Christmas. They say they are easy, but they seem so particular about things, and I also have a fear of getting someone something useless. This year Kale and I decided to give each other ideas so we weren’t completely in the dark, and I think this will work out great! I am really happy I went straight to the source, he also inadvertently gave me ideas for my dad, uncle, and grandpa, so this worked out great! I compiled his list and other gift ideas for men that I have actually given that went over amazingly at various price points below!
Guy-Approved Gift Ideas for Men
Pullover: Kale loves pullovers, he pretty much exclusively wears them in the winter. I’m honestly not even sure if he owns a jacket and this will be our 3rd winter together! This one is fleece on the inside and I absolutely love the look of it. Bonus: you can get one for yourself and be an adorable matching couple… or not. This one is actually fantastic for any guy on your list.
BBQ Set: I got this Golfers BBQ set for my dad for his birthday this year, and he thought they were so cool! My family didn’t cook much, but we loved to grill out, and my parents still do pretty often! These utensils are so personal for my dad since he loves to golf! They also come in hockey sticks! Sports Tee: I feel like you can never go wrong with a t-shirt with your guy’s favorite team! You can never have too many t-shirts, right? Thinking of all of the gift ideas for men that I could think of, this seems like the most obvious, but easily the most accepted. I used the Jayhawls as an example because they’re Kale’s favorite team. There are a ton of places to get sports tam shirts like this, but Kohl’s was by far the best price. I didn’t actually check any out in store, so I can’t speak for the quality, but my best advice for this gift would be to go off of what they already have. If he has mostly Under Armor hoodies, get another Under Armor hoodie. I’m starting to understand the simplicity here!
Slippers: I don’t know what it is with guys and their slippers but my dad loves his slippers and wears them all the time. I’m sure he has nice ones somewhere but he insists on wearing the Homer Simpson ones where you put your foot in his mouth! Kale also has a thing for slippers, he stole (actually he asked first) the slippers we used at the spa on vacation!
Casual Shoes: Not dressy but not casual shoes were my instructions, so I found a few pairs that can be worn with jeans and be dressed up with khakis and linked them below! Shop options at several different prices below!
Watch: I got Kale a watch last year and it’s honestly one of his favorite things! He points it out every time he wears it and mentions how much he likes it. I couldn’t be happier with his reaction and I’m thrilled he still loves it a year later! If you are getting your guy a watch, take a look at his collection first. If he has a lot already, see if he’s missing any color bands, take note whether he likes metal or leather better, and fill in the holes!
Sports Pullover/Sweatshirt: This one is kind of a hybrid of the pullover and the sports tee. It’s a great companion gift to the tee, and again, an easy winner!
FitBit: This one is kind of a sore subject for me since I actually did get a FitBit for Kale on Black Friday, but apparently he forgot he told me he wanted one, and bought one for himself. I was grumpy about it to say the least but ended up returning it and getting something else on his list! A FitBit is great for the active guys. This one comes with a heart rate monitor and even notifies you of texts and calls.
Golf GPS Watch: Kale is an avid golfer, and he wanted an upgrade from his old golf GPS watch. It gives you distances on shots, some can even get to know your club. A few you can even pair with your smart phone and learn about your shots, hazards, etc. If you have a golfer guy, definitely look into this!
Grill Brush: All of the guys on my list are big fans of grilling, and Kale assured me this would be a great grill brush. It seems kind of silly, but it’s something that will make your guy’s life easier and he’ll use it a ton! What more could you ask for in a gift?
All of the gifts for men are guy-approved. I was so excited to finally have a year when I get my Christmas shopping done early, I had to share these ideas! I’d love to hear your ideas below in the comments, let me know what else your guys have on their list!
